On November 11, 1911, twenty-eight visionary business leaders gathered at the Davenport Hotel to form what would become a cornerstone of regional service. Within weeks, they launched their very first initiative: hosting a Christmas party for more than 100 local children in need. 115 years later, that core instinct to step forward and solve local challenges remains as vibrant as ever. As Rotarians, we know that lasting impact is never achieved in isolation. From probation support programs and veterans’ initiatives to Youth Harvest celebrations, our collective success relies on clubs across Iowa and Illinois standing shoulder to shoulder as People of Action. Every club in our district carries a piece of this proud, shared tradition—including the Rotary Club of Ames.

To mark 115 years of continuous service, the Rotary Club of Davenport is inviting the entire regional Rotary family to gather, celebrate, and honor our shared mission.
