A Legacy Gift Moving into the Future: The Brunnier Art Museum

Adrienne Gennett is the Associate Curator of Collections and Education with University Museums at Iowa State University. Adrienne graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Anthropology and Art History. She attained her M.A. in the History of the Decorative Arts from Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, a unique graduate program focused on the study of decorative arts. She has held positions at The National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY. With University Museums, Adrienne curates 4 to 8 exhibitions a year, primarily at the Brunnier Art Museum. She also works to develop faculty connections that incorporate the decorative and fine arts collections into the diverse areas of curriculum on campus, especially through class tours of exhibitions and lectures using museum objects.
