Rotary is more than just a club—it’s a family. We know that every member, even those dedicated to service, sometimes faces personal struggles, injuries, or illnesses. To ensure we can genuinely care for one another, the Board of Directors has enthusiastically approved the creation of The Rotary Cares Committee.

What is the Committee’s Mission?
This new initiative's purpose is simple: to provide a consistent, organized effort to support our members when they need it most.
- Checking in on members dealing with illness, injury (like Roger), or personal difficulty.
- Sending sympathy, get well, or thinking-of-you cards.
- Helping us stay connected with valued members who can no longer attend meetings regularly.
Two Ways You Can Participate
This is a team effort, and we need your help!
- Volunteer to Serve: We are looking for a small group of compassionate members to help lead and share the load. If you want to join this vital new committee, please get in touch with Park Woodle or reply to this newsletter.
- Share a Need or Suggestion: Do you know a member who could use a card, a call, or a word of encouragement? Please send their name and situation to the central, dedicated email address: RotaryClubOfAmes@gmail.com. We are setting up this channel to keep communications confidential and straightforward.
- Also, look for a new section on our weekly meeting sign-in sheet where you can quickly note a member you’d like us to remember and acknowledge during the meeting.
Thank you for helping us put Service Above Self into practice within our own club!
