Gabriel Glynn is the CEO of MākuSafe™ and a serial entrepreneur. Gabriel’s startup journey began over a decade ago and in that time he has experienced several successful exits, his most recent being the selling of his software company, Slash/Web Studios, in 2015.
Gabriel was named 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year at the Iowa Small Business Awards, in 2016 he was awarded Alumni of the Year by Des Moines Area Community College, and was a finalist for the YPC Young Professional of the Year in 2013. He has served on many community and nonprofit boards including the Ankeny Young Professionals and was a Charter Member of the Greater Des Moines Rotary Club.
Gabriel is the creator and host of the Advanced Manufacturing Podcast (AMP) on iTunes and has interviewed dozens of manufacturing leaders around the globe, including Jeff Immelt, formerly of GE Corporation.
Gabriel and his wife of 11 years, Amanda, live in Ankeny with their two boys, Caleb and Tucker. Gabriel has a degree in Business Administration from Des Moines Area Community College. |

Adam Schweers owner of Computer Concepts of Iowa and Midwest Data Management was born and raised in Carroll Iowa. He and his wife Jill have two boys Bennett 13 and Camron 10. He currently serves as President of the US Hwy 30 Coalition and has been an active member of the Carroll Rotary since 2006 serving as president in 2009. Adam served as a City Council Member for 2 years from 2010 thru 2011 and then as Carroll’s Mayor from 2012 thru 2015 having received the Iowa League of Cities Rhonda Wood Smith Outstanding Young City Official Award in 2013. He served on the Iowa League of Cities Executive Board, served on the board of New Hope for 6 years and as their President in 2014. He served on the Carroll Young Professional Board and Young Professionals of Iowa State Board for 8 years and as their President in 2012. He has served 4 years on a Governor appointed Licensure Board and has worked with a number of state and local house, senate and presidential campaigns. Adam has a passion for community development, serves on Carroll Area Economic Development and owns AS Properties which has been focused on the purchase and rehab of commercial and apartment real estate. She graduated from Iowa State University with a BA in business management in 2008 and from the University of Iowa with a JD in 2011. STAR 1 Search and Rescue is an all volunteer organization that responds to lost and missing person incidents in Iowa and the surrounding area. We provide trained and certified Ground Searchers, K9 Teams and Search Managers. The team deploys at the request of public safety officials through the Story County Emergency Management Agency. As a professional volunteer organization, we believe that training and education are crucial to the successful resolution of missing person incidents. Our members have obtained a professional level of training and certification in such areas as search strategies, clue awareness, crime scene preservation and search management. All members are encouraged to continue their SAR education through recognized training programs, evaluations and seminars. |
